Judith Allen, internationally trained in Fiber Art, a 20 year corporate executive in telecom, retired 3 years ago to pursue her life long passion in the arts. Studied at various Universities, Art & Craft Centers throughout the United States and studied abroad with various Fiber Artists. Mainly pursuing handweaving for 36 years, concentrating on functional pieces for the home and one of a kind hand-woven art clothing, utilizing hand-dyed materials and painted warps. Featured in various One Man Shows in the Mid-west and South and winning awards, including Best of Show in Atlanta followed by a feature article in a Parisian Couture magazine of a silk dress;later winning Interweaving "Excellence in Handweaving for the Home" in 2006 for a "Wedding Blanket". Allen has included in her art work, Nuno-felt, which is bringing together her abilities from years of painting, now applied to silk and wool, creating one of a kind, unique and elegant clothing, hats, jackets, skirts, dresses, wraps, all with a romantic, whimsical and quality of excellence that is brings "Oohs and Ahhs" from her buyers.
